Tennessee State Fair

September 8th - 17th

The Tennessee State Fair has attracted people to Nashville to enjoy entertainment, food, and livestock events for more than 109 years and in 2017 more than 150,000 visitors over ten days.

This year the Master Gardeners of Davidson County invite you to experience the elements of gardening: earth, wind and fire. Winding through a path they've created with examples and displays, you'll learn about how the soil below us is alive. You'll learn about lasagna gardening (no, it is not an Italian dish). Figure out if rain barrels make sense for you. You'll find out why planting the right plant at the right time is crucial for success. And, you get to walk under the soil in the Amazing Earth Tunnel.

See you at the Tennessee State Fair.
