We’ll discuss how our yard and gardening practices benefit or pollute the Cumberland River - our water supply, and the basic ingredient for all local brews. Find out how Nashville’s tap water meets, and is better than, state and federal standards as we look at testing results available from Metro Water Services’ state-certified laboratory. Speaking of water, let’s discuss how it can affect different beer styles, why it differs regionally, and we will explore additional flavors that are created when using local flora. But our best project brew yet might be the one we will be tasting overlooking the Cumberland River!

Leaders: Julie Berbiglia, Metro Water Services

Don Graves & Sam Wineka, Bootleg Biology
