Hosted by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (UTIA) and Sevier County Master Gardeners, the 2016 Tennessee Extension Master Gardener State Conference (formerly Winter School) will be held on the UTIA campus in the Hollingsworth Auditorium, Ellington Plant Sciences Building.

On Thursday, March 17, a pre-conference session will be held on Junior Master Gardener programming.
On Friday, March 18, Dr. Tim Cross, Lisa Whittlesley, and Dr. Alan Windham will lead a general session. Breakout sessions will include: Edible crops and ornamentals; technology use and grantwriting; managing soil and water quality; and teaching and assisting homeowners.
A reception and presentation of 2015 Search for Excellence Awards will follow.
On Saturday, March 19, Sue Hamilton will lead the general session followed by research and outreach overviews of three UT Gardens sites and a tour of the UT Gardens Knoxville.
