Dr Eleanor Lopez will be co-moderating a day-long series of panels on Friday, Dec 1, on Building the Cumberland River Seed Commons through the Indigenous Lens. We will have the Secretary of Natural Resources of the Cherokee Nation, Christina Justice, as our keynote speaker and Feather Smith, Ethnobotanist of the Cherokee Nation, participating. It will be very fluid with a session at the end for visioning how we can create a seed saving Commons with the direct partnership and reciprocity with Tribal Nations along the Cumberland River watershed.
