The Land Trust for Tennessee's mission is "To preserve the unique character of Tennessee's national and historic landscapes and sites for future generations." Founded in 1999 by conservation-minded citizens, The Land Trust for Tennessee works with communities, landowners, families, governments, and partner organizations and businesses to identify and save important natural and historic places. We protect land through conservation agreements, donations of land, partnerships and stewardship. We work with landowners to establish best management practices for water quality, forest health and wildlife habitat. Through community conservation, our working farms and forests, scenic and historic landscapes, river corridors and special places can be protected for future generations. The shared vision of land conservation is the driving spirit and passion behind The Land Trust for Tennessee.
